Mural and family update :)

Well another day or so of work on the mural and I have two images almost complete.. here are some pics.. (below them I update you on the rest of our happenings :)

I think the Ethiopian still needs a bit of work.. but i had to let the paint dry before adding another layer :)

This is a close up.. here you can see the wall has a bit of texture to it.. most of the detail work has to be "patted" in with the brush..

Heres a view from the distance.. you can see the green area to the left will be weeds going on to the other wall.. and the green area to the right is the map of africa.. all the areas of land with have a dark blue highlight around them.. I will also add all the names of the towns, islands, and bodies of water.. but I will save that for the very last.. still have a prison scene, the stoning of Stephen and "going over a wall in a basket" to get done first. :)

Here's an interesting story for ya!
Yesterday at the grocery store I was getting my meat at the Deli. The sweet lady had already cut the turkey and the ham.. I was waiting on the cheese.. I looked over and noticed she was suddenly leaning over the sink crying hysterically... The Deli manager called the store manager.. .... she came running over.... I then told the Delli manager that "I would come back later" and that "I hope she is ok"... he just looked at me with a shocked look and said ok.... I checked out and after a few minutes of people attending to the girl I saw her leave with a huge bandage on her thumb.. someone was with her and I assume she was going to the hospital...

I felt soooooo sorry for her... Why did it have to be MY Cheese! ... It took me a few hours to get over the whole.. "i bet she cut off her entire thumb" senerio playing in my head... and after saying quite a few prayers for her I am trusting she is doing just fine..

We are really getting tired of the hot weather... As for me.. I do like it hot.. I just wish it would rain a bit... While walking to the car a few minutes ago I felt 5 sprinkles! It was so excitting!

We are thinking of heading to the big city for just a day trip.. I would like to go to Lukes Locker and get some good quality running shoes.. (the ones I have .. have a few to many miles on them.. plus some "yellow lettuce and grape arbor" paint on them... which I am sure makes them weigh more .. thus cutting down on my speed :) hehe..

hope this finds you all happy!
