Summer fun

(glads are blooming here!)

Well, Welcome to the long lost blog of our happy family :) .. ITs been forever and many boxes ago since I blogged. I have officially declared war on my clutter and as of this past Saturday the clutter from MOST of the house is gone, thanks to a garage sale!! Now I just have a few loose ends to shore up and I will be as organized as A and M! Who would have thunk it! MY HOUSE? .. OH it feel sooo great! Below you will see a before and after of ONE of my Kitchen cabinets.. if you want to see the rest you have to drop by for a visit! ITs so nice to not feel unorganized! finally!

After conquering the clutter monster I am going to move on tomorrow to painting. Touch up painting the house, finishing the boys mural (still needs animals added and clouds finished), and painting the laundry room and main bathroom. I hope to get to wash my windows tonight but we will see how far my laundry gets before tackling that!

For those of you who did not know, Josephs speach test came out fine. His eye exam was an experience.. as he hated the drops we had to put in for the dialation part of the exam. Ends up he does have an eye issue.. it is called "exophoria. n.A tendency of the eyes to deviate outward." Actually, in Js case, his eyes are fine, unless focuses on something close up for a long time (15 min).. then his left eye drifts outward, causing double vision of sorts.. This would explain why his reading at times is great.. but for the most part has not progressed like he should be.. We usually do reading AFTER all his bookwork is done.. leaving his eyes tired and of course .. causing him to see double, moving letters and blurry!.. It makes me sad he has this condition.. of which the dr said there was no correction for, but I am glad I found out what is going on so we can adjust his learning environment to help with it! The dr said he shouldnt have much of an issue until highschool or college when the requirements for reading go into the hours.. but there are techniques he can use to work around his problem. Interestingly enough.. the dr we went to has this same problem.. He still deals with his exophoria today.. So.. I figure if someone has it and can become a doctor.... my J should be just fine!

The swim lessons have been going great.. the kids are improving everyday! The only problem is .. they have retained so much water lately!

Actually these pics the kids took of themselves while they were playing with a glass from an overhead projector that daddy brought home from work. I had no idea they took these until I was looking at some pictures I had taken for ebay and then of course about lost it laughing so hard at these.!.. Thoughts you'ld get a kick out of them too! (I knew the kids were laughing when they were playing but had no idea why.. :)
