Pictures: My Chairs

Before: Oh these are so sad.. I put a cheap fabric on these to use during art camp last summer.. needless to say.. they arent what they could be:
Here's Joseph and Nathan helping. They are taking the screws out so the seats can come out:
Here is Catherine cleaning the marker, paint and probably a little pb&j off the chair frame:
And here my friends is the after picture. Started this project at 3pm and ended about 10pm.. with a little brake in between for supper. I put new foam and a layer of "quilt" padding, fabric, and plastic. Joel helped with the plastic, he was great at getting the plastic stretched so tight the wrinkles on the corners wouldnt show. I have put old english on one of the chairs to cover the scratches but need to finish the rest. I LOVE having the plastic cover.. well worth the 2.75 a yard to protect the 22.00 fabric! Nathan put it to the test last night.. the food just wiped off! Tonight we will go and buy new curtains for the back door.. just doesnt quite go with the flowered curtains we have :)

Oooooo...nice!!!(= They look cute, comfy, and (as you mentioned) most importantly...easy to clean!

SOOOOOOOO cute! I love it. And the plastic was a super idea!

Hey Ruth,
How did you do the covers on the chairs? Were they stapled? Could I do it to chairs that are already covered? I am truly impressed with how your chairs turned out! Michele
