Just a short post

(Another change for my blog.. I am on a quest to see if I can make my blog look as great as some I have seen out there..this requires learning a few tricks in compter stuff.. so please bare with me as I learn how to do this... hopefully I wont mess anything up too bad.. except for your eyesight :))

We have been doing great.. getting ready for Spring! Its in the air around here and I think i will try and plant flowers this weekend.. yipee..

We had a garage sale this past weekend and I didnt think I ever would but I sold a tv I had since I was 13. It was a great, 13 inch black and white turn dial, oh the hours of tv I watched on that thing .. even had a few "knots landing" parties in my room at college. But.. after holding on and on.. it was time to let go.. The man that bought it seemed to really appreciate it.. so I figure.. why have it sit in the attic for another 15 years when it could go to a great home.. Must have been the fly lady in me.. Letting things go so they can bless other people. Great memories with that old tv.

I finally recoved my dining room chairs.. I do have before and after photos I will try and post in the next few days.. needless to say after approx 6 hours of recovering.. my hand and arms .. even my neck was sore.. those poor thumbs of mine have never had such a workout. :) Good news is .. the man at the hardware store thinks the screws from our chairs are from the 1930s.. so maybe we have a great table on our hands.

I am off to see if I can mess up the template on my blog anymore.. also.. trixy is crying at the back door needing in.. duty calls :)

Wouldn't it be so cool if you could take a picture of one of your murals or other art works and use it as the background???

And about planting the flowers...are you sure it's time yet? (= You know what always happened the weekend after you planted flowers in the dorm!!!

Snow-Ice-Sleet-Death to the flowers!!! (whoa, that ended up more morbid than I thought). It's actually one of the things that I love about you, Ruth. The sun starts shining and you say, "Hey! It's time to plant flowers!" Even a few years where the weather has attacked them doesn't turn you into a pessimist...especially not when the sun is a-shining!!!

I like! I'm excited to see what you're come up with.

BTW, I wasn't ignoring your comment about why I don't blog anymore... :) We were out of town for a few days last week. I'll have to tell you about it soon.

Also, I plan to start blogging again soon. There's just been so much going on that I can't blog about yet, that I kinda fell off the path!!!

Oh, and I second Jessica's ideas about using some of your original art ON your blog. :)
